■ Fundamentals and valve types - Definition and applicable standards (EN 558-1, API 598, EN 12266-1) - Valve types: globe valves, gate valves, ball valves, butterfly valves, diaphragm valves, check valves - Actuators: manual gearboxes, electric actuators, single- and double-acting pneumatic actuators - Pressure ratings and materials (PN rating) ■ Control valves and regulation systems - Pressure losses and flow coefficients Kv / Cv (liquids, gases, steam) - Selection and sizing of control valves - Cavitation and flashing: causes, effects and anti-cavitation solutions
Trainings Goals
You gain fundamental knowledge of valve technology – independent of manufacturer. You learn to classify valve types, understand how actuators work, and apply the key criteria for selecting and sizing control valves.
